Crispy Baked Purple Potato Chips
Who needs store-bought potato chips when you can make a healthier version at home! These baked potato chips are so simple to make, farali friendly, and delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 purple potatoes or yukon
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- sea salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F. Line two large baking trays with parchment paper.
- Wash and scrub potatoes. Dry with paper towels.
- Using a mandolin or a very sharp knife, slice potatoes into 1/8th inch thin slices.
- In a bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil and lightly season with salt.
- Arrange the slices on the prepared baking trays, and bake for 10 minutes. Flip the potato slices, and then bake for another 5 minutes or until chips are crispy.
- Immediately salt the chips with more salt per taste.
Notes
Be sure to keep an eye on the chips towards the end of the baking time to avoid overcooking/ burning. Remove any chips that seem crispy and ready!
You can also try different seasonings as desired:
- cayenne
- paprika
- rosemary
- salt + pepper
